A Bugatti Veyron worth in excess of a million euros was recently given the ultimate wrap treatment – a vibrant and sharp design printed on Avery® MPI 1005 Super Cast Easy Apply RS.
As the world’s most expensive and fastest road-legal sports car, the Avery Dennison-wrapped Bugatti Veyron was a standout in the glitz and glamour of the Las Vegas SEMA show held from 2 to 5 November 2010. SEMA – Specialty Equipment Market Association – is the world’s largest trade show for specialised automotive equipment.
To achieve a stunning finish, the Avery MPI 1005 Super Cast Easy Apply RS was printed on an Epson Stylus Pro GS6000 and applied by SkinzWraps, a Dallas-based graphics company specialising in car wraps. Thanks to the film’s excellent print performance, the designers were able to use sharp and vibrant colours to make this stunning vehicle a show-stopper.
Seven days were needed to complete the design, print the wrap and apply it to the car. The Bugatti Veyron seats two and has a sixteen-cylinder, 1,001 horsepower engine. Its powerful engine and seven-speed transmission with AWD enable it to achieve a top speed of 407 km/h – a speed it can maintain for up to twelve minutes before consuming all of its fuel.
The automotive industry comes to SEMA to see new trends and the most tricked-out cars on earth. This was a rare opportunity for car enthusiasts to view such a valuable car wrapped with graphics. A Veyron retails for €1.3 million to €2.5 million, depending on customisation.
