The recently held 3rd edition Avery GraphicsTM Masterclass ‘How to create the perfect vehicle wrap’ received an overwhelming thumbs-up from leading designers. The Masterclass was a striking success, and saw designers turn their 2D creations into perfect 3D vehicle wraps.

On 12 March 2010, thirteen designers from corporate branding and specialist vehicle wrapping agencies received hands-on training in developing attractive and practical 2D designs for vehicle wraps. Specialists from Totally Dynamic® Colour Concept provided expert guidance, and participants created the designs on their own laptops using Adobe® Photoshop and Illustrator®. At the end of the day, the designs were applied on vehicles with assistance from Ferry Nice Applications and Totally Dynamic® applicators.

The designers were all enthusiastic about the Vehicle Wrapping Masterclass, giving it an overall rating of 4.3 on a scale of 1 to 5 (bad to excellent). “It was an excellent opportunity to discuss difficult problems with experts,” said one designer. Each of the participants stated that they would recommend the session to any designer involved in vehicle wrapping. “The Masterclass pieces together the critical relationship between theory and design. It gives you the knowledge and confidence to create stunning vehicle wraps.”

The Masterclasses are given in English, and held at the Graphics Centre of Avery Dennison in Alphen aan de Rijn in the Netherlands. Up to now each session was free of charge and limited to fifteen participants.
