Approximately 25 application specialists from various European countries gathered in June for a highly successful meeting hosted by Benelux Avery Graphics™ Application Specialist VinyTouch. The activities included demonstrations of speciality films, discussions on application techniques, and communication training.

Avery Graphics™ organises many workshops all over Europe, covering topics such as application, car-wrapping and colour management. VinyTouch is one of the members of the European Network and often involved in workshops organised by Avery Graphics™ to support both beginners and professionals in designing, producing, and applying self-adhesive graphics.

This meeting in June was the sixth of its kind. In the early evening of 11 June, representatives from various European Application Specialists gathered to share experiences and news, have dinner and refresh old relationships.

The next day focused mainly on practical experiences. After a guided tour of the VinyTouch site, the participants discussed and demonstrated how to use and apply functional protection films and other products, and exchanged tricks and tips. The morning sessions concluded with a demonstration of how to apply the speciality product Avery® Carbon Film to a Porsche car.

An in-depth communication training session on the do’s and don’ts for giving workshops took place after lunch. The session included a practical example, in which a car door was used to demonstrate the importance of cleaning and preparation. Participants were shown how to give instructions effectively, with an emphasis on aspects such as attitude, interactivity, and tone of voice.

The meeting ended with an overview of new and improved tools for applying films, as well as evaluations of current and future situations.
