AVERY DENNISON CREATES HUNDREDS OF NEW PROFILES FOR AVERY GRAPHICS DIGITAL PRINT MEDIA

Avery Graphics adds support for users of Mimaki JV5, the Mimaki JV33 and the Mutoh ValueJet digital presses

Leiden, The Netherlands - Avery Dennison has recently added hundreds of detailed new ICC profiles for the Mimaki JV5, the Mimaki JV33 and the Mutoh Value Jet digital presses to its Avery Graphics website in order to enable printers to achieve the best possible results.

'Our customers are looking to get the highest quality large format prints from their digital presses,’ said Johan Spies, Technical Marketing Manager, Avery Dennison Graphics and Reflective Products. ‘In order to achieve the best results, you need to take all elements of your workflow into account – your workstation, software, media, inks and even the environment in which you are working. Although Avery Dennison’s extensive range of Avery Digital Print Media is optimized to provide the best all-round results on a wide variety of digital presses, it is important for our customers that they can fine-tune every single element of their workflow. By providing our customers with detailed ICC profiles for each material through our easy-to-use, dedicated search engine, we enable them to have complete control over their printing process so that they can deliver the best results to their clients.’

Avery Dennison updates its ICC profiles and the new printer/RIP/media combinations on a weekly basis to ensure that its customers have access to the latest data.

Save time, reduce waste

'Avery Dennison believes that technical support and training are critical to our customers’ success,‘ stated Johan Spies. ‘As leading media suppliers in the digital print arena, we take our responsibility towards our customers very seriously. Having the ICC profile helps you achieve about 80% of your colour management requirements – but to achieve perfect results you need to linearise your printer/ink/RIP/media combination at your location, using a photospectrometer. By doing this, you can achieve continuous high-quality output. And by using the same combination every time, you no longer have to reset the profile. This also reduces ink consumption, downtime and repeat printing – which results in less waste and increased cost savings!'
