AVERY ULTRA METALLICS – A BRIGHT NEW CONCEPT IN SELF-ADHESIVE CAST VINYLS

The popularity of metallic colours with consumers – as a car body finish, on a label, in retail and outdoor advertising graphics – is a continuing feature of product design and decoration today. Avery Dennison Graphics Division Europe have taken up the challenge of creating a range of metallic vinyls that can genuinely project the brilliance of real metal. Avery Ultra Metallic films are not only unique in this respect, they are also durable, and suitable for a wide range of applications.

With a choice of ten colours, Avery Ultra Metallic films are designed to be used – alongside non-metallic films – for all kinds of decorative applications indoors and out. They are medium-life (five year) cast films, suitable for flat and lightly-curved surfaces of all kinds, and supplied with a high-performance permanent adhesive. For extra opacity, which adds to the eyecatching impact of the metallic finish, the adhesive is grey-pigmented on all colours except Fire Opal, which is white pigmented.

Designed primarily to be computer cut (though they can also be thermal transfer printed), Avery Ultra Metallics will typically find use in retail window décor, for vehicle striping and graphics, for product identification and logos, in long-term in-store and outdoor advertising, and for functional lettering and numbering tasks on, for example, machinery and large items of equipment.

Avery Ultra Metallic films will retain their sparkle throughout their working life. Resistant to most mild acids, alkalis, and salt solutions, they can be applied at temperatures as low as 7°C, and offer a service temperature range of -46°C to +82°C.

Avery Ultra Metallic films are available ex stock from Avery Graphics distributors throughout Europe, who can be located via a quick-reference feature on the Avery Dennison Graphics Division website at www.europe.averygraphics.com. Converters in the signage, digital, and screen printing markets can also sign up via their distributor to receive the regular web-based newsletter, Avery Works.
