GREAT RESULTS ALL ROUND AT FESPA WITH AVERY GRAPHICS!
Avery Dennison Graphics Division Europe’s stand at FESPA in Munich was never empty: visitors flocked to the demonstrations of applying Avery® MPI 1005 Easy Apply as well as Avery® 906 Super Cast, which showed dramatically just how much you can subject this most forgiving of self-adhesive vinyls to and STILL achieve a perfect result.
Hans van den Berg and Ferry Muehlenbruch – responsible for Avery Graphics application workshops all over Europe -- had visitors enthralled with their seemingly magical performances, which, according to Hans, are ‘nothing more than a straightforward demonstration of what I believe to be the best film available for car wraps and other vehicle graphics where conformability is a priority’.
The FESPA fastest five!
Avery® MPI 2005 Easy Apply was the focus for a stand competition – which kept the competitors on tenterhooks till the very last afternoon of the show before the winner was known. Entrants had to apply to a smooth panel a decal of Avery® MPI 2005 Easy Apply in the fastest possible time, and achieve – with the use of an Avery Graphics squeegee – a perfect result. Four contestants achieved remarkable times: Jean-Paul Bohélay from Impression Découpe Numérique, France, logged 39 seconds; Rudi Zoons of Grafityp, Belgium took just 37 seconds, tying with Ulrich Schweizer of Schweizer Siebdruckerei in Germany; and Gisa Humbeck from Germany looked to be winning with her 33 second application. But at the eleventh hour, Dennis de Haan from VinyTouch Reclamewerken in the Netherlands achieved a time of just 27 seconds, to take the top prize of a video camera. All the worthy runners up won an iPod. Hans van den Berg comments: ‘These are certainly the fastest five in Europe – they all made perfect applications in record time.’
The out-of-the-ordinary Avery Graphics stand – an avant-garde fish design – was a FESPA attraction round the clock. Not just for the application demos and the competition – but also for the stand party held on Thursday afternoon, when visitors could enjoy a well-deserved cocktail and canapés from the bar to the accompaniment of a DJ.
Prime marketing opportunity
Summarizing Avery Dennison Graphics Division’s opinion of this year’s FESPA exhibition, Communications Manager Evert-Jan de Vries says: ‘FESPA is the prime opportunity in our marketing calendar to meet all our Avery Graphics customers across Europe in a forum where the only agenda is screen, sign, and digital print. We were delighted with the venue, and the high level of visitor attendance. FESPA is certainly the industry’s showcase – not just for Europe, but globally as well.’
